Company's history

In year 2002 the Company introduced its products to the Baltic states by starting a cooperation with the local partner UAB „Asmens Sagrybinis" In the same year the Company was awarded  the prize of the „Polish Master of Alarm Technique" for the most effective ani-theft system.

Next year AutoGuard signed partnership agreements with the three biggest GSM operators in Poland: Polkomtel, Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa and Centertel. In 2004 the Company obtained the quality certificate ISO 9001.

Extending its offer AutoGuard introduced on the market a new product: AutoGuard S-2. This product operates through the AutoControl platform and acts as a surveillance and management system for transportation fleets. For this application Business Center Club awarded the Company the European Medal.

Realising the development strategy AutoGuard S.A. signed in year 2006 two important agreements: one with the British operator MVNO and second with the digital maps producer Navteq B.V. Agreement with MVNO enables AutoGuard to equip its appliances with the new SIM cards that operate on the whole territory of Europe through the Operator's digital communication network. The new system improved the data transmission quality and reduced its cost. The agreement with Navteq B.V. regulated the use and sale of licence for digital maps that are the integral part of AutoGuard application.

In year 2007 a new AutoGuard platform GIS Server (Geographic Information System) was introduced. The new platform as a part of the AutoControl system is responsible for the presentation of digital maps and collection of functions from the GIS area. In the same year the  Company's Management Board decided to transform AutoGuard&Insurance Sp. z o.o. into stock company and changed the Company's name into AutoGuard S.A.

Since 2008 AutoGuard has been also present in Ukraine where it cooperates with the local partner - Vostok company.

In 2009 the Company became a technological partner of the Polish GSM operator: Orange. For the purpose of the agreement with Orange AutoGuard prepared the new service called Autolocaliser and provides the operator with the monitoring  appliances and the dedicated internet portal.
