Report: satellite systems of the anti-theft protection

Year by year the overall number of stolen vehicles in Poland has been decreasing. In 1999 every day 204 cars were stolen, after 10 years this number dropped to an average of 47 cars daily. This tendency is due to the more and more advanced protection systems. Among these systems satellite anti-theft protection systems are regarded as the most effective method of vehicle protection.

The ASTO system (AutoGuard Safety Tracking Operation) of AutoGuard will take care of the crews safety during the 19th edition of the Rzeszowski Rally which will take place on the 5th -7th August 2010. The event has special importance as it is the 5th round of the Polish Motor Rally Championship, 5th round of Slovakian Motor Rally Championship and the 6th round of Poland Rally Cup and additionally the 6th round of Central Europe FIA Trophy.

On the 2-4 July 2010 the Baja Carpathia Rally will take place. The rally is the second edition of the last year Baja Polonia Rally. AutoGuard will take care of the competitors' safety by providing the special ASTO system (AutoGuard Safety Tracking Operation). This solution improves the safety of the rally participants and in case of an accident enables the rescue services to reach the accident place as soon as possible.

AutoGuard has become the official partner of the rallies organized by the Polish Motor Association (PZM) as part of the Polish Motor Rally Championship. The company has created for rally organizers and drivers a new application that controls the rally cars passages. This application is called ASTO - AutoGuard Safety Tracking Operation and is based on the GPS technology. The system is supplemented by the Virtual Fan internet service, created together with Go Rally. Thanks to this service the motor sports fans are able to follow on-line the course of the rally. During the Rally Poland - the elimination of the European Championship the competitors and the fans could use the new AutoGuard system.

On the 26th of May in the Warsaw Platinium Club the conference to celebrate the 10th anniversary of AutoGuard S.A. took place. The journalists and the AutoGuard dealers were present at the conference. The Management Board made summary of the Company's achievements and presented plans of development for the coming years.

On the 25th of May in the Wellington restaurant on the 64 Nowy Świat Street in Warsaw the Fleet Café meeting took place. In this private meeting the persons repsonsible for the heavy transport discussed the topic of car fleets mobility. The partners of Fleet Café became Continental Polska - the tyres producer and AutoGuard S.A.

On the 14-16 of May the 6th edition of the Lotos Baltic Cup will take place. It is the second elimination of the Polish Rally Championships and third elimination of the Polish Rally Cup. The gravel special stages will certainly bring unforgettable imressions. The rally fans will be able to follow it in Internet through the "Virtual Fan" application. It will be possible thanks to the GPS units of AutoGuard and "Virtual Fan" internet service created together with Go-Rally.

On the 23-25 of April the 38th Elmot-Krause Rally will take place. This rally is the first elimination of the Polish Rally Championship. The Rally fans will be able to follow the event in the Internet through the „Wirtualny Kibic" application. It will be possible thanks to the GPS appliances provided by AutoGuard S.A. and the „Wirtualny Kibic" internet service created together with Go-Rally.
