Warnings about imminent road works with the distance they cover (data obtained from the General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways GDDKiA), comparison of two routes as far as distance covered, time and fuel cost are concerned, an intelligent keyboard for entering of names and searching of chosen POI points of a selected network that are located on the route or in the route proximity. These are some of the new functions included in the latest update of the NAVTO car navigation created by AutoGuard.
The new update of the NAVTO application enables a simultaneous selection of two routes and comparison of these routes in respect of distance, driving time, fuel cost as well as number of road restrictions and ferry crossings. The whole multi-point route is drawn on a map and saved in a device's memory. The direct routes to a destination can be compared in respect of the shortest and the fastest route - the screen of route details will provide the complete set of information that will make the route selection easier.
Together with an update, NAVTO has been equipped with the new options that support a driver during driving. A device since the beginning of the drive registers the degree of route coverage (in percent), the maximal developped speed. A compass shows the geographic direction in which a vehicle is moving. After introduction of a new window, to enter data about fuel consumption, a computer will calculate the fuel consumption cost, in a city traffic and outside cities.
One of the greatest advantages of the AutoGuard navigation is an easy and intuitive mode of operation. Lately these factors have become very popular among the consumers who choose a specific navigation model because more advanced models equipped with unnecessary functions only complicate the navigation operation. An user directly from a map's window has the access to an on-board computer, he or she can switch to 3D mode and search the nearest POI, switch off voice communicates and whole route visualisation. An user can also determine the assumed navigation scale that suits him or her, switch on and off warnings about road works and projection of POI points on a map.
The 1.5.0 update is accessible free-of-charge on the www.navto.pl in file „Pobierz". The update contains all previous updates. In a factory-made version of application it is sufficient to install the newest update to obtain all earlier update versions.
