AutoGuard maps

The Map Server is an application designed for presenting maps and offering map services (maps projection and management, reverse geocoding, addresses browsing, searching of points of interest - POI) in Internet. Client applications communicate with the Map's Server through an universal protocol based on the HTTP standard. The protocol was designed to work with the „thin client" applications based on JavaScript and the „stand-alone" applications.

 

AutoGuard Maps Concept
AutoGuard maps employ JavaSript language that facilitates creating of applications that use Maps Server and operate in the web browsers (these applications are listed below). The provided components ensure that a programmer does not need to know the details of the Maps' Server protocol or to program by oneself the communication methods. Instead of these activities a programmer can concentrate on creating the application's functions that will be directly offered to an end user.

 

Functions:
Currently the AutoGuard maps offer the following functions:
• installation of a fully interactive map on a WWW site
• showing on a map a defined geographic area
• measurement of a distance in a straight line
• placing a picture in the defined coordinates
• marking areas of any form
• reverse geocoding of the defined coordinates
• searching of the address points
• searching of a POI within a radius of a road section
• determining a multi-point route
• KML documents visualisation
